| WELCOME to the unique replica world of the great airline BCAL, now as a virtual airline with the realism
and professionalism a tribute to a great airline deserves. A special effort has been made to this VA, the 50th subsidiary of the world largest and most professional
VA Group, the Nordic Air Group, in operation since august 1997. REALISM means that we have the schedule of summer 1984 as it was, and have BCAL commuter, GENAIR flights operating under designator EN/BCA, of most have allready been added! Realism means also the fleet! We have gone thru the fate of each real BCAL aircraft, and adopted a policy that if the aircraft was still in use but for sale or lease, or stored as a passenger one, we "purchased/leased" them back. Unfortunately most wide-bodies had been converted to freighters, and many BAC-111´s have been scrapped. But there was enough BAC 111´s still left. Of the DC-10´s we had to lease recently stored IBERIA aircrafts, which are for sale, but we found also still two original BCAL one´s. Of the 747´s two were existant the rest are ex British Airways 747-236´s, "leased" from Marana, Arizona , where the real one´s are stored. And all aircrafts got their original registrations back! For the two A310´s that operated that summer, or the 707´s which left on May 29th 1984, we have one DC-10, and a B737 found to have been at some stage laesed from BAW. But they will be replaced as soon our maintenance divsion have painted the original one´s with those belonging to that year. CHARTER routes have been added, thus that we fly to those destinations where BCAL owned a hotel, and to Miami, mostly based on the timetable of 1976, but with current equipment.
