KAR AIR FINLAND (KR/KAR) is back again in the skies, as a historical airline site and virtual airline! We operate to a wide range of holiday destinations from Helsinki-Vantaa (HEL/EFHK) and to London with the new "bought-back" A300B4-203´s, and regional operations with ATR 72. This part is called the AB4/ATR72 services Under historical research and a repainting process of two different DC-8's, is our DC-8 services as it was operated in the 1970's. Aircarfts are kindly by permission of HJG. The DC-3 and DC-6 services are operational, and operates in Finland and to Sweden, Also i.e. the fantastic 15 hour DC-6 service Helsinki - Tenerife can be found! KAR AIR FINLAND VA was formed by NORDIC AIR GROUP of Finland in 2001, and now in 2006 we are refurbishing the airline to what it should be, our other main finnish carrier in addtion to Air Botnia VA. Our fleet consists of 3 ex. of Airbus A300B4-203-FFC (OH-LAA and OH-LAB), one purcahsed OH-LAC to cover old by AY operated KR flights, eight ATR-72, three DC-6B and four DC-3. On "order" is still two former DC-8's.
