NORDIC AIR (NOR/NA) would like that You to take a short glance at these basic rules, that will ensure
operations both four You and us to be as REAL as possible and at the same time FUN for all involed parties.

FLYING FOR NOR AND MEMBERSHIP

Our unique concept gives you the possibility of flying with any of our over 60 airlines covering the whole globe. We were the first to introduce that on the net in 1998 (other had then limited access to their ailrines). This gives you the unique chance to discover the worlds most intersting airports, and gives you the variety of not always having to fly from the same ariport or with the same airline.

You have two options of membership:
1) Membership in Flight Line Club; You will be sent as in real airlines flight duty lists (rosters) as agreed ie once per month, the flights are all consecutive.
2) Just choose Yourself the flights and report them.

Both memberships gives You every month the possibility of winning the pilot-of-the-month contest. You will get aslo our monhtly newsbulletin. We can provide You on demand with lot of useful NAV/COM/a/c info.

Due to our unique concept You can choose Your flight from whatever airline or airport (memebership option 2, but also practicable to duty-lists in Flight Line Club, where You do not get back " home ever day " ).

Membership is free to anyone who considers him/herself able to fly with VATSIM / IVAO provided ATC-control, but that is not a requirement. You can fly Your flights also in " stand-alone " mode, just for yourself. We allthough wish You have some aviation/navigation/communication skills, but if You do not, we will be glad to train You in that interesting matter. So just sign-up and start to have at Your desk worldwide fun with NOR.

ASSIGNMENTS IN VATSIM / IVAO ENVIRONMENT

When You have decided what flight or flights You want to fly, pleae send us an e-mail ie fomr the menu at each airline, and formulate three notes in Your e-mail:
1) Your PID and name, (PID You will get after registration as member, see page: JOIN),
2) The flight number and route,
3) Flying date and estimated real connecting-time on VASTIM / IVAO in ZULU- hours or LOCAL, with info from what city & country You are joining the session.

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO TO GET THE FLIGHT AS REAL AS POSSIBLE AND PIREP-RULES

To get as REAL and as FUN as possible, we would like You to fly the flights according to timetables and with aircrafts shown in the fleet use section of each airline. If You do not have the aircrafts or the accurate sceneries, please download them from our site or any suitable site. If you find suitables that we coudl have or inform about at our site please inform us about such wiht a shotrt e-mail! Also we would like You if flying with VATSIM / IVAO to download the latest sceneries, not only for Your own fun, but due to the fact that the Controllers might direct You on taxiways which otherwise You might not see!

We would aslo be glad if You could file in an Flight-report (PIREP) in our semi-automated PIREP system called NORPMS. You will get an automated password to that system when joining NOR. This information which we wish is not too much required will accumulate Your flight hours and i.e You can be eligible for the " Pilot of the Month " -title. It will help also us to serve You better, we will i.e know where we need more flights and which flights are not popular, all this to be able to serve You better in this worldwide simulated airline environment.

NEW effetcive 04 AUG 2007: All members have to fly 10 hours per year to maintain the membership. Other acitivity with NOR can void this rule. For pilots up to 9539 the calculating period is 04 AUG 2007 - 03 AUG 2008, etc.

FLY-INīS AND NON-SCHEDULED FLIGHTS

We would like to encourage You to take part in fly-ins or otherwise also fly, if You do not find a suitable flight, as a test- or birdge/equipment transfer flight in VASTIM / IVAO using as call sign NOR-9xxx, where xxx is Your PID. Just remember to e-mail a PIREP to us, and Your flight hours will accumlate!. You can also some days earlier request for a charter flight for such a specific occasion, You will get a realistic timetable with baisc FPL. Such a charter will be valid for one month and can be flown after You by anyone.

This is all for You and us to live up to a dream of flying airliners according to real schedules with all that professionaslim and courtesy it means.
