UTA VA and Aéromaritime VA based as an exact replica of these great old arilines of it´s version of 1990 spring, started operations today as the 62nd and 63rd VA´s from Paris CDG (CDG/LFPG).
under the NOR -group. The inclusion of UTA VA gives the NOR -group an even better network, especially in Africa, the Paicifc and around-the-world.
The charter flights are handled by Aéromairitime. As a special issue can be noted the longest total travel time flight, a cargo one of UTA of 46 hours 10 minutes, from Paris via LAX SFO, to Pappete,and en-rute to Nouméa, New Caldeonia ending at Tokyo-Narita with a747-200F. Most of the 12 downlaodbel aircrafts are for FS2002, and as COO is appointed Jean Luc Boinet of France. | AGA CARGO | 11 JUN 03 | On a news conference, held in Guayaquil on June 10th, L. Holmquist, Managing-Director of The Air Group Alliance, announced that AGA CARGO and SKY TRUCK CARGO, reached an agreement to carry out Connecting Flights between the two companies. This agreement implements the allready agreement made between AGA and JETSTAR INTERNATIONAL CARGO, allowing AGA cargo from South America - Europe and Far East to reach nearly all North American cities, through the respective Cargo Hubs in Memphis and Albuquerque and of course cargo from these Hubs to connect to AGA's routenet. Also to mention he said, is that the AGA Cargo fleet in Europe will soon be increased due to strong cargo demand, specially from the Southern part of Europe and Scandinavia to Luxembourg and from there worldwide through our Cargo routenet. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| AGA LATIN GROUP | 11 JUN 03 | On June 11th, The Air Group Alliance - AGA - released the following announcement : The AGA LATIN GROUP, which today includes LATIN AIR ( Ecuador ) LATIN AIR BRAZIL ( Brasil ) and LATIN AIR PERU ( Peru ) will end July be expanded to also include LATIN AIR ARGENTINA ( Argentina ). | MARTINAIR VA | 11 JUN 03 | On June 11th, The Air Group Alliance - AGA - released the following announcement: Beginning June, MARTINAIR will become a new member of AGAs EUROPEAN GROUP. It will start to operate with a fleet of 5 aircrafts, which shortly will be increased with 3 more aircrafts. This VA will mainly focus on 2 areas flying from Amsterdam. The Caribbean and Vacation locations in South Europe and North Africa. | TRANSAFRICAN VA | 11 JUN 03 | On June 11th. The Air group Alliance - AGA - released the following announcement: End July, AGAs - TRANSAFRICAN Va -, will be restructured, and will move its main base from Tangier to Casablanca. This restructuring is having as purpose to increase AGAs presence on the African West Coast, connecting Casablanca with cities like Dakar, Bissau, Abidjan, Accra and Lagos. The flights from Morocco to Europe will be discontinued and will then be taken over by the JSI-TRANSAFRICAN service that soon will start operations from Johannesburg to Brussels and from Brussels to Casablanca. The city of Lagos will also become a connecting point between AGA-TA and JSI-TA. | AGA RTW FLIGHTS | 11 JUN 03 |
On a news conference, held in Guayaquil June 11th, The Managing-Director of The Air
Group Alliance - AGA -, and in connection with the various released announcemnets made
this day, explained the development that lately has taken place between AGA and JETSTAR
INTERNATIONAL. It started 6 months ago, and today it allows Pilots to make many
interesting connecting flights around the world, flying both for AGA and JSI.
The latest implementation of these C/F Flights is through JSI's Singapore center and from
there with AGA to Australia/Oceania, Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
Further information as to all these C/F Flights can be found at both AGAs and JSIs web
sites, and makes that an around the world flight becomes interesting. With AGAs new
flights Guayaquil-Tahiti-Sydney one can today fly around the world both via the South
Pacific ( AGA ) as via the North Pacific ( JSI ) or Central Pacific ( AGA - JSI ).

of TransLink Virtual Airlines, CEO Stuart Blackbourn has announced Howard Thate as Vice-President of TransLink Air Cargo. "Howard has been with us for almost two years and is our most reliable pilot. This is giant step for him,
but I know that he will excel at this position just has he has done as a pilot." | In other TransLink news, there is a quite rumor running around the airline that the CEO is planning on hosting a virtual airshow sometime in the summer. Nordic Air Group has opened it´s 60th VA!
NOR-group, Scandinavias oldest and worlds largest VA opened it´s 59th and 60 th VA´s on 14th and 15th JAN 03. The 59th is Brussels Virtual Airlines
- Lignes Aériennes Virtuelles de Bruxelles, and the 60th is a "jubilee" VA, Pakistan International Virtual Airways, with over 700 flight-legs almost daily! The site is specially designed with
several timetable sections, fleet use sections and lot of photos from different parts of Pakistan and other areas.
Paksitan VA is the first VA to fly to Kabul, Afghanistan, as is PIA in real life.

On a press conference held in Guayaquil, Nov. 18, the Managing-Director of AGA,
Mr. L. Holmquist, announced that beginning December 2 new VA's will be incorporated
into the AGA Group. These are : AEROPOSTAL VIRTUAL and ICARO VIRTUAL.
With these incorporations, AGA's position on the Venezuelan market, together with
AVENSA VIRTUAL and VIASA VIRTUAL, is extremely strong and of course our position
on the Ecuadorian market is unique. | In January, AGA will incorporate SCANDINAVIAN VIRTUAL, which will be part of our new AGA Scandinavian Group, together with BALTIC AIR and CIMBER AIR VIRTUAL. This also puts the AGA group in a very good position as to Scandinavian flights starting 2003. On a press conference, held in Guayaquil on September 23rd, the Managing-Director of
AGA, Mr. Lars Holmquist announced the following:
Quite many improvements and new aircraft purchases are actually taking place at AGA,
and will continue during the last 3 months of this year.
Cimber Air Virtual has now started operations in Denmark and Northern Europe and 2 new
aircrafts will increase the fleet before end of the year. Surinam Airways Va. and Guyana Air
Virtual will start operations mid October, and will together with Air Aruba Va. and Carribian
Air, be members of the new AGA Caribbean Group. With these new operations AGA's
network in South America, will be one of the strongest in the Virtual Airline World.
The following Virtual Airlines will before end year also take delivery of new aircrafts:
TAME - MONARCH - IBERIA - PAN AM - BRANIFF - BALTIC AIR - MALEV.
Also in November a new small Ecuadorian Va, will start operations.
End year 2002, AGA will have 420 aircrafts flying on daily routes/Itinaries, making it one

Returning to Guayaquil, after attending the WVAR board meeting in Billund/Denmark,
the Managing-Director of AGA, Mr. L. Holmquist announced that AGA has obtained
the authorization from CIMBER AIR - Denmark to also make this Airline an AIR member
of the Air Group Alliance. - This new AIR member is expected to be ready for operations
end September, and will mean increased domestic flights in Denmark as well as new
routes in Northern Europe.

On a press conference held in Guayaquil on July 1st, the Managing-Director of AGA
announced that BRANIFF INTERNATIONAL Va will start to operate from Dallas and
Miami-Lima, as from July 15th. There is great expectation as to this new Va and many
will surely recall the famous "Braniff orange" , which again will be flying.
It was also announced that 2 new Virtual Airlines will be incorporated in AGA end of July.
They are VIASA INTERNATIONAL Va and NATIONAL Va. - Both will start to operate
