ALL CURRENT NEWS AT NOR Itīs not an easy task to put togehter the news of all 56 VAīs, those under constrcution and all admisinstrative news. But letīs try to do it in an easy way. As this webzine has a special section for future development, I leave all the planned issues there, and tell here of the future only news of such issues that are under construction or in final planning phase. ADMINISTRATION In the administration and common issues for all VAīs, we have following tasks under work: 1) The pilots page will be updated very soon, hopefully still this week. The lenghty pause of which I appologize, has been due to staff and PC issues. Our SVP NOR9232 Teemu Saarinen is currently calculating a huge amount of pireps. 2) We will get very soon a special section for screen shots, which You first can reach form the "Gateway" and the "Main page", later from all airlines. You are welcome to send some of You best screen-shots to this page! 3) A common downloads area will be created. 4) NOR9181 Roberto Pontiggia is appointed VP Middle-East, and our newest Opertional Center, under his supervision is Dubai (OMDB/DXB), which serves a huge amount of our airlines from Eruope, Africa, the Far-East,and of course the Middle-East. THE AIRLINES 1) Qatar VA has now all the FPLīs for all routes, the missing ones will be inserted asap. Also the schedule will have some changes, due to the introdcution of the second A330-300, A7-ACB. 2) Yemen Virtual Airlines is almost ready, and will be placed under the OMDB operational center. 3) Brussels Virtual Airlines is half-ready, and will come under Euro-Group. 4) Faucett C de AV is getting more aircrafts painted by Alex Colka affiliated to AGA-gorup in Ecuador. 5) Aero Continente Chile C de AV has closed due to the real being forbidden to fly in Chile for safety reasons. Instead a new divsion, Aero Continente Dominicana C de AV will be opened with a single B737-200 and one 767 of the main company flying itīs routes. |
6) Japans Vritual Air Cargo will open finally in september. 7) Under LAN Chile VA is under construction AVANT VA, completely as a Chilean project. 8) LAN Chile VA is taking again a pilot ranking system in use. LAN Chile being a franschising subsidiary they have the right to do so, and it reflects the wishes of the LAN pilots. THE GATEWAY The "Gateway" was introduced as first (not main) page in the spring. It has become en easy way to enter our groups diffrent VAīs, but has lead also to several misunderstandings, among non-members. So the Gateway will be remodelled together with the main page, so that the current fucntions and some additional will be available. Some of the misunderstanding has been poeple complaing about service on real flights or trying to book tickets. NEW PILOTS We have got one new pilot the first six months of this year each 2 and half day, so the list of all new pilots would be too long to publish. Also the finnish law forbid us to give out the domicile wihtout the written permisiion of the memeber in sucha list. I just want here once again to welcome allnew piltos since last issue on board and wish You pleasant flights for many years to come with NOR! NOR OFFICIAL ASSOCIATION Nordic Air Group became in may an official assocition, the registration process is starting. That means we willhave two public meeting yearly for all members, and the whole board of directors are elceted on yearly basis. Memebership is free still regardless of nationality, but memberhsip must be approved by the board of directors meeting. STATISTICS Our winter poll, showed that 75% of the members have FS2002 or FS2002 Pro, the later was the most popular. Then 13% had FS2000, little less FS98, and one 1% older some other flight simulator. Our 50.000 visitor visited our site on 21 JUL 02. |
